The Sociometric Institute - was founded by Dr. Bob Siroka, in 1968, which soon after became a major center for psychotherapy and training with a keen emphasis on the interconnectedness of psychodrama, sociometry and group therapy. The Institute has been at its present location since 1991. In addition to providing a professional and accessible practice venue for therapists and related practitioners representing a wide range of therapeutic orientations, disciplines, and practice sepcialties, the institute also offers professional trainings, workshops, materials, events and media services for clinicians.

Fascinated by the healing powers of both psychodrama and sociometry, Dr. Bob Siroka founded the original The Institute in 1968, which soon after became a major center for therapy and training. In addition to over 50 years of counseling and psychotherapy experience, Dr. Siroka is a founding member of the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy, has lectured in Psychology at The Department of Psychiatry Harvard Medical School, was a recipient of the J.L. Moreno Lifetime Achievement award, has taught Psychodrama and Action Methods at NYU, SUNY (Stony Brook) and Rutgers University, and has presented many workshops national and internationally. Other than that, Bob is just a regular musician.

JACQUELINE DUBBS SIROKA, ACSW, TEP, BCD

JACQUIE is the Director of Clinical Services at The Sociometric Institute and Co-Creator of Integral Therapy. She is a 2013 Graduate of the Meditation Teacher Training Institute, in Washington D.C., a 2-year curriculum including studies and training in insight, mindfulness, meditation and compassion practices. She was formerly on the faculty at Rutgers University Graduate School of Social Work and SUNY at Stony Brook School of Social Welfare, and was the Director of Psychodrama Services at Fair Oaks Hospital in NJ. In addition Jacquie was a  supervisor at the Psychodrama Department at ST. Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington, D.C., and a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work with additional training in Group Psychotherapy. She is a Certified Trainer, Educator, and Practitioner by the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy, and was the recipient of the J.L. Moreno Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006.

NAN NALLY-SEIF LCSW, DCSW, TEP

Nan has been a licensed clinical social worker in private practice working with a variety of clients including adults, children, families, couples and groups for more than 30 years. She has an MSW from Columbia University School of Social Work where she was a National Institute of Mental Health fellow and completed post-masters training in expressive therapies. Nan was a coordinator of mental health/addiction services in a Wall Street area agency, she coordinated the family program at St. Luke-Roosevelt’s Smithers Alcohol Rehab unit, is the founder/director of the Irish/Irish-American Counseling service and was Chairperson of the American Board of Examiners of Psychodrama, Sociometry, and Group Psychotherapy and co-director of the Psychodrama Training Institute. She has presented at numerous national and international conferences and currently, runs several personal growth, supervision, and training groups. Additionally, Nan is an adjunct professor at Fordham University School of  Professional and Continuing Studies, and has been a field work instructor for Master level students from Columbia, Adelphi, Hunter College, and New York University.

This training program consists of five weekend workshops covering a variety of topics: including theory, role play, mindfulness, techniques, and practice of Sociometry, Psychodrama, and Group Psychotherapy. It is open to practitioners with all levels of experience.  Our major focus this year will be on role play. Psychodrama Training Hours will be given
